Meet Our Team

Dr. Kent Thomazin is a 1991 graduate of Kansas State University. Growing up in rural Nebraska, he was inspired by his father, a veterinarian, and knew from an early age that he wanted to follow the same path.

Dr. Sarah Foss joined the Salish Veterinary Team in July 2022. Growing up in a Korean American household in Bothell, Washington, she knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Sheri Belau grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and earned her undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.

Dr. Jenny Larson grew up in North Dakota and Southwestern Washington and has since traveled around the country while her husband, Mike, pursued a career in the military.

Jenny brings over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field to her role as our practice manager. She has spent many of those years working alongside Dr.

Alyson has been in the veterinary field for 13 years and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2017. She is passionate about caring for sick animals, assisting with surgeries, and promoting oral health. Currently, she is working toward a specialty degree in veterinary dentistry.

Russell has been working in the veterinary industry for over 20 years, with most of those alongside the Salish Veterinary Hospital founding team.

Abbey was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, with a few years spent living on Maui with her dad while finishing high school. She eventually returned to the beautiful Valley.

Katie has been working in the veterinary field for 7 years. Her journey began in high school when she volunteered at Anotto Bay Veterinary Hospital, leading to a veterinary assistant position at the Animal Hospital of Newport Hills.

Sam grew up in Renton Highlands and, as a teenager, worked as a kennel attendant at Newport Hill's Animal Hospital. He later gained several years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant at another hospital.

Kate grew up in Marysville and moved to the Valley several years ago. She started working at Salish Veterinary Hospital as the morning kennel attendant and quickly advanced to a veterinary assistant role while also managing the kennel area.

Juju has been an animal lover since she was a child, growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, goats—you name it. Her love for animals compelled her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and she joined the Salish team in early 2022.

Shelby was born and raised in Southern Idaho and attended the University of Idaho to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2021. Shelby moved into the Snoqualmie Valley with her boyfriend and joined the Salish team in 2023.

Drew has been in veterinary medicine since 2018 and joined the Salish team in 2023. He initially started with equine practice before transitioning to small animal care after moving to the Valley.

Bill has had a love for animals since he was a little kid, spending hours watching Animal Planet. Born in Houston, Texas, he was raised in the Snoqualmie Valley and has developed a deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest.

Chloe has always had a love for animals, growing up with dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, reptiles, and even a bird. She started working as a kennel attendant at Salish at 16 after attending the veterinary medicine program offered at Mt. Si High School.

Devon grew up in rural Minnesota and moved to Washington with his mom when he was 16. He attended WSU, where he majored in Wildlife Ecology and minored in Zoology, graduating in the spring of 2024. A few months later, he moved to the area to begin working at Salish.

Originally from Seattle, Alexa grew up in the Bay Area before starting college in Santa Barbara. She later transferred to the University of Washington, where she fulfilled her dream of becoming a Husky and graduated in 2024. In 2025, Alexa joined the Salish team.

Lauren was born and raised in Washington, always surrounded by cats and dogs. After moving across the state, she settled in North Bend, where her passion for animals led her to a professional career at Salish in 2025. She shares her home with her dog, Cooper, and her cat, Spooky.

Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Andie recently moved to Washington to join the team at Salish. Before transitioning into veterinary medicine, Andie spent several years working in the pet care industry in various different roles.

Kris worked with the founding Salish team for many years at another clinic before joining SVH in the fall of 2022. She has been in the veterinary field since 2001 and brings a wealth of experience in various roles.

Jessie has lived in the valley for the past 33 years with her husband, Geoff, of over 20 years. Together, they have three children: Madison, Vanessa, and Kaleb. Jessie has one four-legged child, Thor, an American Bully, and is currently on the lookout for their next rescue dog.

Rachel grew up in mid-coast Maine and moved to the valley five years ago. She was new to veterinary medicine when she started at Salish in early 2024 but has always had a love for animals, growing up with all kinds of critters.
